We're heading twenty thousand leagues under the sea, behind the scenes of a superhero blockbuster, and returning to the therapist's sofa in a jam-packed episode of the Pilot TV Podcast this week. First up, on the guesting front, Captain Nemo himself, Shazad Latif, joins us this week to chat Nautilus on Prime Video with our very own journalistic old sea dog James Dyer [26:53 — 43:02 approx]. Later, The Office Australia star Felicity Ward also stops by to chat dance moves, the pressure of being the next David Brent/Michael Scott, and the smell of breaking waters with the Gareth of our office, Jordan King [1:02:33 — 1:20:04 approx].

Back in the pod booth, the pod squad discuss what they've been watching this week (mostly Rivals and The Devil's Hour S2); tackle a tricky listener's question on chameleonic actors; and get stuck into a pretty surprisingly light week for TV news, which included Slow Horses' Season 6 renewal and more casting announcements for Ryan Murphy's new Ed Gein centred instalment of the Monster anthology series. Elsewhere, on the reviews front we head behind the scenes of a blockbuster superhero movie in Sky Comedy’s The Franchise before reclining on Jason Segel’s couch in season 2 of Shrinking on Apple TV+. (Which, in case you didn't already know, has just been renewed for a third season!)

You can listen to this week's episode on your podcast app of choice, or watch it in glorious high definition on YouTube above. And if you want to subscribe to Pilot TV+, find all the details here.
