Pilot TV Podcast 303

We're throwing it back to lockdown on the Pilot TV podcast this week as, thanks to James Dyer's ongoing tussles with the dreaded COVID, Kay, Boyd, and their infected co-pilot abandon the pod booth to record remotely. But even though the team aren't physically together, and even though there's been a relative dearth of new telly on the box this week (we know, this is a sterling sell for a podcast so far), that hasn't stopped the good ship Pilot from lifting off for more televisual talk. Among the shows on the agenda this week are BBC1 real-time train-based thriller Nightsleeper, cannily titled sex-filled Channel 5 teacher drama The Teachers, and chic French fashion Apple TV offering La Maison.

Elsewhere, we find out what the pod squad have been watching over the last seven days (primarily Aussie comedy Colin From Accounts, supernatural series A Discovery Of Witches, and Netflix's newly dropped Jeff-Goldblum-as-Zeus show Kaos), and this week's Game Of Thrones inspired listener question finds the team considering their favourite unlikely small-screen friendships. Plus, between the reviews and usual TV chat, over on the news front there's discussion about George R.R. Martin's House Of The Dragon beef, Only Murders In The Building's Season 5 renewal, the announcement of animated Twilight spin-off Midnight Sun, and the expansion of the Reacherverse with Neagley. And as if that ain't enough podcast-y goodness, Kay and Boyd also give us the skinny on how Kay's leaving drinks went and why Boyd now wears a t-shirt with her face on it. So there's that to look forward to, too!
