Of all the characters from James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, you might not have expected John Cena's Christopher Schmidt, AKA Peacemaker to get his own spin-off show. But Gunn had other plans, and the show lands in January. Here's the new teaser for the series...

Spoiler alert, of course - despite appearing to die, Peacemaker did in fact survive, and is now being roped back into taking out bad guys, despite not being the greatest guy himself. And from the looks of this, it'll dig into his past (with Robert Patrick as his less-than-supportive dad) and follow his misadventures with the likes of Steve Agee's Economos and Jennifer Holland's Emilia Harcourt (both back from the movie), plus Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn.

Gunn wrote the whole show and directed five of the eight episodes, and the series lands on HBO Max (in the US) and probably Sky in the UK in January.
