While there had been chatter about Mike Myers planning to bring his comedy skills to Netflix for a new show, details had been few and far between, Now we not only know that it'll be a limited series called The Pentaverate and that it'll co-star Ken Jeong, Keegan-Michael Key, Jennifer Saunders, Debi Mazar, Richard McCabe and Lydia West.

And that's not all: we also have a basic idea of the story for the show, which Myers created: "What if a secret society of five men has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347? As this new series begins, one unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and just possibly save the world himself. Remember, the Pentaverate must never be exposed!"

Sounds like fertile ground to plant some laughs, and the cameras are now rolling on the show, with Fleabag veteran Tim Kirkby directing six episodes. Naturally, there's no word on a release date yet, but while we could see it before the end of the year, 2022 might be a more likely possibility.
