Last Thursday brought news that writer/director Mike Flanagan had begun announcing the cast for his next TV project, Edgar Allen Poe remix The Fall Of The House Of Usher, with Mark Hamill and Frank Langella among those in the ensemble. Flanagan is back with a new update, adding a batch of returning veterans and fresh faces to his Intrepid Pictures production, including Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Michael Trucco, T’Nia Miller and Paola Nuñez.
Though the original Fall is a short story published by Poe in 1839 and charts a family falling into madness and isolation, the new series is described as a modern-day interpretation that draws from various Poe tales. Flanagan created the series and will direct four episodes with Michael Fimognari handling the other four.
Kyleigh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Annabeth Gish, Igby Rigney and Robert Longstreet are also aboard the new show, joining the already cast Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell and Carl Lumbly.
The cameras should be cranking in the coming weeks.
