Having locked in the young trio to play Percy, Grover and Annabeth in Walker Scobell, Aryan Simhadri and Leah Sava Jeffries, the team behind the new Disney+ Percy Jackson And The Olympians is bolstering the supporting cast around them. Megan Mullally, Jason Mantzoukas, Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman and Timm Sharp are all now aboard.

With original novelist Rick Riordan on the writing team along with Jon Steinberg, and James Bobin directing the series, Percy Jackson will loosely adapt Riordan's first tome, and follow the title character as he’s first learning about his supernatural powers, before being accused by sky god Zeus of stealing his master’s lightning bolt. Percy then sets out on a journey across America to find the lightning bolt and restore order to Olympus.

Mullally will play Alecto, a.k.a. Mrs. Dodds. She is Percy’s strict, irascible math teacher who may act monstrous at times, because she is. She’s one of the three Furies, known as Alecto, who loyally serves Hades, the god of the underworld. Mantzoukas is on to play Dionysus, a.k.a. Mr. D. The irritable and sarcastic Mr. D runs Camp Half Blood, a camp for the demigods.

Kull has the role of Sally Jackson, Percy’s loving, protective and selfless mother. Sally raised her son knowing that one day she’ll have to give him up to the dangerous world of the Olympian gods. Sharp is Gabe Ugliano, Sally’s selfish, brash, and combative husband as well as Percy’s stepfather.

Turman will play Chiron, a.k.a Mr. Brunner. Disguised as Percy’s Latin teacher, Chiron is the famed centaur and trainer of heroes who provides Percy with moral guidance when needed.
