Though they've shared the screen a few times – most notably in the first season of True Detective, but Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey's true partnership has been as best pals in real life. Apple TV+ is now looking to bring that to a new comedy series.
Schitt's Creek veteran David West Read – who already has an Apple series on the way via Chris O'Dowd-starring The Big Door Prize – created the show, and he'll produce alongside Harrelson and McConaughey.
The series is described as "a heartfelt odd couple love story revolving around the strange and beautiful bond between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Matthew and Woody’s friendship is tested when their combined families attempt to live together on Matthew’s ranch in Texas." The 10-episode series should be shooting this year.
Harrelson and McConaughey hang out whenever they can and also take trips together, such as a trip last year to Dubrovnik for Harrelson’s birthday.
