Marvel – Assembled series

At the end of each season of The Mandalorian, Disney+ has capped off the show with a Disney Gallery documentary exploring the making of the Star Wars streaming series – for the first run, its own eight-episode behind-the-scenes look, and for Season 2 a one-off hour-long special. And now, it looks like Marvel is heading in the same direction, bringing the sort of material that might ordinarily have been a DVD extra onto Disney+ in a different way. Marvel Studios has just announced its new documentary series Assembled, set to give fans an inside look into the production of its series and its feature films – and it all begins with The Making Of WandaVision.

With just three episodes of WandaVision left, the Assembled documentary will follow that on 12 March – tiding MCU devotees over until The Falcon And The Winter Soldier begins streaming on the 19th. “Marvel Studios' ASSEMBLED, a new documentary series of specials, goes behind the scenes of the shows and movies of the MCU,” explains the announcement Tweet. “The first special, ASSEMBLED: The Making of WandaVision, is streaming March 12 on Disney+.” By the sounds of it, we’ll be getting future episodes for Marvel series including The Falcon And The Winter Soldier and Loki, and possibly even for movies like Black Widow and Eternals too.

For now there are just a handful of instalments left to wrap up the story of Wanda and Vision living a surreal sitcom life in the New Jersey town of WestView – and to see exactly how it dovetails into the upcoming Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. You can listen to the Empire Spoiler Special Podcast team go deep on every episode of WandaVision by signing up here at the new, lower price point of £2.99 per month – with fresh Marvel episodes arriving every Monday while the Disney+ shows are on. Catch Assembled: The Making Of WandaVision on Disney+ on 12 March.
