1987's Glenn Close/Michael Douglas thriller Fatal Attraction is still considered a great example of the genre, even with its troubling aspects around the treatment of women and mental health. There's a new TV adaptation headed our way in a couple of months, starring Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan. Check out the first teaser.

The footage focuses on Jackson's Dan Gallagher and Caplan's Alex Forrest, who get involved, only for it to go badly. And if you know anything about the original, any rabbits in the cast should be very worried.

The official description for this one touts “a deep-dive reimagining of the classic psychosexual thriller and ‘80s cultural touchstone,” and that the show will explore “the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.”

Amanda Peet, Alyssa Jirrels, Toby Huss, Reno Wilson and Brian Goodman also star, while the series comes from showrunner Alexandra Cunningham.

Fatal Attraction arrives on Paramount+ in the States on 30 April and on 1 May in the UK. The first three episodes will launch together followed by a weekly instalment.
