Joseph Gordon-Levitt already has his own TV show on the way, but he's also taking the lead in a new series from Billions co-creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien. He'll play the CEO of Uber in Super Pumped.
The series will adapt Mike Isaac's book Super Pumped: The Battle For Uber, which has become both one of the most successful and destructive start-ups in history. A Silicon Valley investment darling, it revolutionized transportation, but at the cost of radical upheaval and internal and external battles.
Gordon-Levitt's Travis Kalanick was the driven executive of the company who saw it hit highs before he was ousted in a boardroom coup. Koppelman and Levien are planning this as an anthology series, focusing on different stories each season. They'll work on the show with Soundtrack's Beth Schacter.
On the small screen front, as mentioned above, JGL also has comedy-drama series Mr. Corman on the way.
