Cast your mind back to August of last year, and Rosario Dawson announcing at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo that she'd heard Jon Bernthal would be back for a new series featuring The Punisher. She quickly walked back her comments, but it appears what she'd heard was closer to the truth than anyone suspected, as Bernthal will actually be back in Marvel/Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bernthal's Frank Castle will show up in the MCU's take on Daredevil, which already boasts Charlie Cox back as Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio playing Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk.
Whether it'll be the same Castle who originally graced the Netflix Daredevil series before scoring his own spin-off show remains to be seen. Matt Corman and Chris Ord are running the show, which starts shooting its 18 – count 'em – episode first season this month and should be out next year.
