If you can add Jeffrey Wright to your film/TV series/video game/secondary school play, you add Jeffrey Wright. The Last Of Us game creator Neil Druckmann already knew this, having the Academy Award-nominated actor voice a character called Isaac in The Last Of Us Part II and now he and fellow TV series adaptation show-runner Craig Mazin are keeping that tradition intact, with Wright reprising the role, this time in live action for the show's second season.

Game players will know who he is, but for those whose first experience of the story is the show, we'll look to avoid spoilers by simply quoting the series' official line on the character: "the quietly powerful leader of a large militia group who sought liberty but instead has become mired in an endless war against a surprisingly resourceful enemy."

With Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey back at work for the new season (we've already seen the first images of them), they're joined this time around by Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, and Catherine O'Hara in a guest-starring role.

Other new faces include Ariela Barer's Mel, Tati Gabrielle's Nora, Spencer Lord's Owen, and Danny Ramirez' Manny. The Last Of Us is expected to return to screens next year.
