Though we were concerned we might have to wait until the end of the year to see more Cobra Kai, Netflix (not all that shockingly) took the opportunity of a live celebration of the show to announce that it'll be back in September for its fifth season.
With stars including Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser and Courtney Henggeler on stage at Cobra Kai: Live & Bad Ass, which was part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival, the teaser played as a surprise for the audience.
Here's the synopsis: "Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Season 5 finds Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his "No Mercy" style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese (Martin Kove) behind bars and Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) must call on an old friend for help.
Cobra Kai Season 5 lands on 9 September. And honestly, it can't come fast enough. Could this be the season where Hilary Swank shows up? Let's see!
