He might be roaring back to TV screens thanks to the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series, but Ewan McGregor is hardly a stranger to them. For Halston, the new Netflix miniseries, he's playing the controversial real life fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick.

Halston follows the legendary designer as he leverages his single, invented name into a worldwide fashion empire synonymous to this day with luxury, sex, status and fame, literally defining the era he lives in, 1970’s and ‘80’s New York — until a hostile takeover forces him to battle for control of his most precious asset: the name Halston itself...

It might not surprise you to learn that Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan are among creative team here, alongside regular collaborator Daniel Minahan, who directs all of the episodes. Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler of Killer Films are also involved, and this one lands on the streaming service on 14 May.
