Having danced with dragons in Game Of Thrones, scrapped with Skrulls in Secret Invasion, and out-scoundreled Han Solo in, er, Solo, Emilia Clarke is set to get her heist on in Prime Video's upcoming crime drama series Criminal. Per Variety's reporting, the Last Christmas star has boarded Amazon's adaptation of Ed Brubaker and Sean Philips' eponymous graphic novels, in which she'll play armed robber Mallory.

Per the character description shared with Variety, Clarke's Mallory is "a slick and daring armed robber, as quick with a gun as she is with her wits." Part of a heist crew with her lover Ricky Lawless (Gus Halper), Mallory is further described as "a woman on the edge, living on the wrong side of the law and hiding secrets that will bring her and her entire crew into the danger zone.” Having previously duped pretty much all of Westeros, Kingsley Ben-Adir's Gravik, and Han Solo, dodging the law should be a doddle for Clarke, right?

First published back in 2006, Brubaker and Philips' comic books — set in the fictional Center City — took the clichés of crime fiction and recast them under a more realistic light. And the vague official description of the Prime Video series, on which Brubaker will serve as co-showrunner alongside Jordan Harper (Gotham), tallies with the comics, teasing an "an interlocking universe of crime stories."

Clarke is the latest buzzy piece of Criminal casting, and joins previously announced stars *deep breath* Charlie Hunnam, Richard Jenkins, John Hawkes, Adria Arjona, Logan Browning, Kadeem Hardison, Pat Healy, Taylor Sele, Gus Halper, Aliyah Camacho, Michael Mando, Marvin Jones III, Michael Xavier, and Dominic Burgess. We'll let you know as soon as we hear more about Criminal's release date (there's a prison joke in there somewhere), but for now it's safe to say the show's shaping up to be a real killer.
