Cobra Kai recently wrapped shooting on Season 4 – the first produced exclusively for Netflix since the streamer bought the Karate Kid sequel series, and, having hinted at the idea at the end of the third season, a new teaser confirms that Thomas Ian Griffith's driven martial artist Terry Silver will return to the story.
Silver, as fans know, was a comrade of John Kreese (Martin Kove) during the Vietnam War, and Kreese ended up saving his life. In paying back that debt, he helped Kreese set up the Cobra Kai dojo, and in a Karate Kid III twist, ended up coaching Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) in his violent ruthless, ponytailed style. From the looks of the trailer, it's all back – even the hairstyle.
"Since the beginning of the series, we’ve been carefully orchestrating the right moment to unleash Cobra Kai dojo co-founder Terry Silver back into the universe," say Cobra Kai showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. "That moment is now. We can’t wait for the whole world to experience Thomas Ian Griffith’s majestic return to the franchise."
The real pain, though? Not knowing exactly when the show will return – but it should be later this year.
