There had always been speculation that Bryan Cranston's Walter White and Aaron Paul's Jesse Pinkman would eventually show up on Better Call Saul as the prequel series edged closer to the events of Breaking Bad. And far from keeping the truth obscured, the team behind both shows have come out and admitted that the pair will be seen during the final season of Saul.

The show, which stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill, the crafty, sometimes obnoxious but still charming lawyer – the man we have slowly seen become Saul Goodman – is ramping up for the final two batches of episodes.

"I don’t want to spoil things for the audience, but I will say the first question we had when we started the show was, ‘Are we gonna see Walt and Jesse on the show?’ Instead of evading, I’ll just say yeah," co-creator and showrunner Peter Gould said on a Paley Fest panel for Saul. “How or the circumstances or anything, you’ll just have to discover that for yourself, but I have to say that’s one of many things that I think you’ll discover this season."

And the show's official Twitter account soon followed that up with its own announcement...

Better Call Saul's sixth and final season will start in the UK on 19 April.
