Depending on how you look at it, it's either a brutal day to be a fan of acclaimed TV series, with several shows announcing their final bows, or good news that series are leaving the stage before the lustre fades. Either way, it's perhaps not surprising that Donald Glover and Team Atlanta are ready to end their series with Season 4.

After all, thanks to busy cast schedules and that tricky worldwide health situation, it has been nearly four years since Season 2 started, and we're only just getting Season 3 next month. Season 4 was shot back-to-back with the third, and will serve as the series swan song.

"The fourth and final season is slated to debut in the same manner this fall," FX boss John Landgraf said at the TCA winter press tour. "The new season is everything you’ve come to expect from Atlanta, which is to say, expect the unexpected. Sit back and enjoy the trip."

That third season will kick off on US channel FX (and Hulu) on 24 March, with a two-episode premiere. And we're hoping it'll show up on Disney+ here before too long.
