It’s a new part of the life cycle of Hollywood’s biggest action stars: eventually, you get your own headline TV series. Sylvester Stallone got Tulsa King, Harrison Ford entered the Yellowstone Televisual Universe in 1923, and now it’s Arnie’s turn. The Terminator (or, Conan) himself is heading to the small screen for the first time in Netflix series FUBAR. The secretive series has just shared a short teaser video that centres its big-name leading man – watch it here:

There’s not much to go off there, but the message is loud and clear: Netflix has got Arnold Schwarzenegger in a streaming series! With shooty action and broad laughs! Here’s the brief official synopsis: “A CIA operative on the verge of retirement discovers a family secret. Forced to go back into the field for one last job, FUBAR tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, action and humor.” The show is created by Nick Santora, also behind Amazon’s Reacher series – and the cast also includes Top Gun: Maverick’s Monica Barbaro, Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster (seen in the teaser video) and Gabriel Luna.

For the most part though, the show is a mystery – intentional on Netflix’s part, promising ‘classified updates’ for people who sign up for news drops here. Presumably, we’ll know more by the time the series arrives on 25 May.
