For fans of Netflix's epic animated video game adaptation Arcane, we've got a real good news, bad news situation on our hands. The good news is, after teasing the Emmy award-winning League Of Legends spin-off's upcoming second season during last week's Next On Netflix: Animation event, today the streamer dropped a jaw-slackening first full trailer for the series, which is set to hit the platform this November. The not-so-good news is that Arcane Season 2 will also be the show's final series (boo!). But despair not, before it all ends there's still plenty of story left to tell as the Piltovans and Zaunites — and sisters Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell) — head for all-out war. Now here's that new trailer;

The heartstopping climax of Arcane's first season saw Jinx launch a Hextech gemstone powered rocket at Piltover's Council, bringing the tensions between the steampunk city of Piltover and the seedy, criminal underbelly of Zaun beyond boiling point. And by the looks of it, the action is set to pick back up right where we left off, with Vi and Caitlyn (Katie Leung) taking the fight back to Zaun as the show's feuding sisters find themselves bent on one another's destruction. Per the series' official synopsis: “In this final chapter, Jinx’s attack on the Council sets the stage for a dire escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.”

Alongside the new trailer for Arcane Season 2, Netflix also shared some new images of the show. Have a butchers at those below;

Whilst Arcane's end may well be nigh, the good news, bad news of things comes with a silver lining. In a statement shared by Variety, series co-creator Christian Linke shared that future Runeterran adventures await. “ Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche,” he said. “From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.” What those stories might end up being is anybody's guess, but one thing we know for certain is that whatever they are, we'll be watching.
