Not content with appearing in the Broadway behemoth Hamilton and much-loved (if under-seen) movie musical In The Heights, Anthony Ramos is ready to step into the Marvel Universe. According to Deadline, he's part of the cast for Disney+ series Ironheart.

The series stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, aka Ironheart – a genius teen inventor who creates the most advanced armour suit since Iron Man. She made her comics debut in 2015 from creators Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato and is headed to TV screens following the character's introduction in this year's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Chinaka Hodge is serving as head writer on the series, which is still in pre-production and doesn't yet have a release date on the Disney streaming service.

As for Ramos' role, that's naturally being kept quiet for now. The actor is one of the voices in new DreamWorks Animation 'toon The Bad Guys (headed our way on 1 April) and is also starring in Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts, now scheduled for 9 June next year.
