It's the most wonderful time of the year, folks! No, not Christmas, you silly galahs. Rather, it's that magical time where, after a year spent gorging on the finest shows the box has to offer, the streaming giants each take it in turn to tempt us with teasers for what they've got coming up in the year ahead. And even by its own high standards, Disney+'s 2025 slate is shaping up to be quite the doozy, with the likes of Andor Season 2, The Bear Season 4, Marvel's Ironheart and Daredevil: Born Again, and Noah Hawley's Alien: Earth all among the offerings set to have our eyes glued to the box over the course of the next 12 months. For a sample of the veritable televisual feast that awaits, check out the tasty new trailer for the streamer's upcoming releases:
"I got something coming up, something kinda big," says Glen Powell at the start of this new preview, offering up a glimpse of his American football comedy Chad Powers in the process — and something kinda big sounds about right for the smorgasbord of shows that follow. You want The Bear's Ayo Edebiri and Jamie Lee Curtis chewing the fat together? That's here. You want Amblin Star Wars shenanigans with Skeleton Crew and Marvel-ous supersuitin' up in Ironheart? Disney's got you covered. What about Stellan Skarsgård telling Diego Luna to "think like a leader" in Andor's second season? You'll find that here too. Plus, y'know, there's the return of Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin and Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again and the prospect of xenos hitting up terra firma in Alien: Earth, too.
And it's not all established franchises on the streamer's horizons either, as plenty of interesting looking original projects are set to launch in 2025, too. There's the aforementioned Chad Powers with Glen Powell, which looks like it'll be a blast, and then there's also fresh glimpses of Sterling K. Brown and James Marsden in political thriller Paradise, the Natalia Grace inspired, _Orphan_esque Good American Family, and new Goosebumps off-shoot The Vanishing with David Schwimmer.
Whilst it's too early to call who'll come out on top in the great streaming wars of 2025 just yet, it's pretty safe to say who the real winners will be nevertheless — us! Now if you'll excuse us, we're off to bosh three seasons of The Bear, the whole of the OG Daredevil, and mainline that first run of Andor again just to make absolutely sure we're ready for the year ahead.
