Having one marketplace totally sewn up wasn’t enough for toy giant LEGO. After years of being the premier supplier of plastic blocks perfectly designed to imbed themselves into bare feet, LEGO made a bold stride into the gaming sphere.
By teaming up with the likes of Marvel and Star Wars, LEGO managed to produce games like no other. They managed to take some serious film knowledge and inject it with creative and hilarious gameplay. The games proved to be real successes, being taken up by players of all ages.

Marvel's tie-in spawned a game that showcased the vast scope of LEGO games. With a great story line and 300 playable characters to discover, including the likes of Iron Man, Squirrel Girl, Elektra, Kingpin and Ant-Man, Superheroes 2 offers up hour upon hours of incredible content. LEGO threw the kitchen sink at this title. Adventure Time, Back to the Future, Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, Jurassic World, The Lord of the Rings, and Mission: Impossible are all on-board, along with 23 other film, game and TV franchises. Real-world block-building, a toys-to-life portal and classic LEGO gameplay this is an incredibly immersive and innovative game. Available on Nintendo Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The Force is strong with this one. LEGO revamped the prequel and original trilogy to bring gamers some block-based mayhem along with that classic John Williams score and some inventive slap-stick humour. Available on Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo DS, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Drama, humour and a great story, this game has it all. This is a sandbox game which lets you play as a whole host of DC characters. This was the first LEGO game to include the original voice actors for Lex Luther (Clancy Brown), Two-Face (Trot Baker) and Captain Cold (Steven Blum). The soundtrack includes Danny Elfman's Batman and John Williams' Superman scores, which is a killer combination. Take control of the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow and raid, pillage, plunder, and otherwise pilfer your weaselly guts out. Bringing all three of the original Pirates of the Caribbean movies to life in LEGO is a fantastic accomplishment, and this game is huge on humour and playability.
