Because he clearly feels he doesn't yet have the sheer number of actors on Once Upon A Time In Hollywood to rival the overstuffed epics of old, Quentin Tarantino has added two more. Danny Strong and Sydney Sweeney are the newest arrivals.
While their characters were not revealed to The Hollywood Reporter, there is information about another recent casting, as Polish actor Rafal Zawierucha will play a young Roman Polanski, in a move sure to make the film even more controversial than its Manson family referencing subplots.
Set in Los Angeles in the late 1960s, the film follows various characters, but focuses on former Western TV series star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), men trying to find their way in a Hollywood neither man recognises as the Manson cult stalks and strikes fear into people. Dalton's connection with the Manson murders is his neighbour, Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).
Hollywood already has a huge cast, with names including Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, James Marsden, Timothy Olyphant, Al Pacino, Tim Roth and Burt Reynolds, but that's really just the tip of the acting iceberg.
Strong, who these days is more normally found writing, producing, directing and running TV shows, most recently made Rebel In The Rye. Sweeney played Eden on this season of The Handmaid's Tale and has a role in Under The Silver Lake.
Tarantino's latest will head to cinemas on both sides of the pond on 26 July next year. Here's our briefing on the movie.
