After a successful first season on Netflix, the Guillermo del Toro-produced Trollhunters animated series is coming back – though its return was assured, since the team recorded enough material for two seasons' worth of episodes. Joining the cast behind the mic for the new run are Mark Hamill, Lena Headey and David Bradley.
Trollhunters found unlikely hero Jim (the late Anton Yelchin, who will still be heard in the new season thanks to the amount he already recorded for the show) and his best friends discovering that beneath their sleepy small town, a war between opposing troll forces was raging - and they got dragged into it.
Hamill, a voice-over veteran, will play the previously unknown older brother to one of the Trollhunting team whose allegiance is decidedly not good for them. Headey is a powerful evil sorceress who must be stopped, while Bradley will voice a mysterious figure with great magical powers.
Returning are Kelsey Grammer, Ron Perlman, Steven Yeun, Anjelica Houston, Amy Landecker and more. The new season should be out this year on the streaming service.
