The Big Sick's Kumail Nanjiani has already lived out one dream, appearing in an episode of his beloved X-Files. He's back for more supernaturally-themed television, signing on to appear in an episode of the rebooted Twilight Zone series.
Jordan Peele is overseeing the new show, acting as host and narrator in the tradition of former producer/host Rod Serling. And as with the various versions of the series over the years, it'll tell twisty tales of morals with weird plots and unusual characters.
There's no information yet on which episode Nanjiani will appear, or whether it'll be a remake of a classic entry, such as the redo of Nightmare At 20,000 Feet that will star Adam Scott. But we do know that Key And Peele veteran Alex Reubens has written this one.
Nanjiani joins Peele, Scott, Sanaa Lathan and more in the cast for the show, which in the States will start next year on the CBS All Access streaming service. As for Nanjiani's other work, he'll be seen in action comedy Stuber (out 12 July next year) and the as-yet untitled new Men In Black movie, which will arrive on 14 June.
