Spy TV series Alias pushed Jennifer Garner's career along in a big way; it was also a major early landmark for JJ Abrams. So you can understand why they might want to team back up again years later for a new TV series, one Apple has ordered for its still-nascent streaming service.
The new miniseries will have Karen Croner writing and overseeing the show, adapting Amy Silverstein's 2017 memoir My Glory Was I Had Such Friends. It follows the group of women who supported Silverstein as she waited for a life-saving second heart transplant.
Garner, who recently made a rare foray back to the small screen for HBO's version of Camping, will play Silverstein, and while Abrams remains busy getting Star Wars Episode IX into shape, he's on as an executive producer, marking yet another show he's attached to produce.
