Last seen in the strictly dramatic Nocturnal Animals, Isla Fisher has a comedy in her sights, this one based on a real-life story. She's boarding Tag.
Jeremy Renner, Ed Helms, Jake Johnson and Hannibal Buress are all aboard the film, which writers Mark Steilen and Rob McKittrick have adapted from a Wall Street Journal article on the group. Jeff Tomsic is directing, with the main four playing the friends who chase each other across the country, doing whatever they can to "tag" one another. At the end of a specific time, whoever is "it" must shoulder the title of loser for the next year.
Fisher is aboard to play Helms' character's wife, who represents the brains behind the latest incarnation of the game. She joins Annabelle Wallis, who will be a reporter named Rebecca who follows the guys around to write a piece on them. In addition to Tag, which is due next June, Fisher is attached to star in The Starling.
