When The X-Files returned to our screens for a 10th season last year, the results were mixed. Have the lessons been learned for the 11th? That's a question only the series can answer, but for now we have the trailer for next year's batch of episodes.
From the looks of this, the big conspiracy – which wasn't exactly a highlight of last season – is still a large element, but the idea (and the person) of Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully's (Gillian Anderson) son William hangs heavy over the trailer. There's definitely more to him than meets the eye, but then this is The X-Files...
The Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis) is back, apparently able to survive anything like a cockroach, and Mitch Pileggi's FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner is also a presence.
The show is back in 2018, but hasn't set an official date.
