With Bright already on the way from Netflix this year, another high-profile Max Landis script, Deeper, got some attention last year, scoring Bradley Cooper to star. Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, is now in talks to join him.
White God director Kornel Mundruczo is attached to direct the film, which finds Cooper as a disgraced former astronaut who uses his extreme conditions training on a new mission: diving down into a newly discovered trench, which is believed to be the new deepest point on Earth.
There, he encounters mysterious forces and faces a physical and psychological clash. We don't yet know what role Gadot will play if she does sign on to the film, but MGM is backing the thriller.
Gadot will be back on our screens this November as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in Justice League and is signed for more DCEU duty with the solo Wonder Woman sequel, the other Justice League release and Flashpoint, the Flash movie starring Ezra Miller.
