They worked together on Slither back when one was a fledgling director making fun horror pics and the other mostly known for acting. Now James Gunn – as a producer – and Elizabeth Banks are teaming back up for a new movie.
This latest film doesn't yet have a title, and there has been no official synopsis released, but we do know it'll be a horror movie to be directed by regular Gunn collaborator David Yarovesky.
Keeping it further in the family, brother Brian and cousin Mark Gunn wrote the script, which James is producing via his Troll Court Entertainment alongside The H Collective, which first announced the project back in December.
"Elizabeth and I have been on the same artistic page since we first met when she auditioned for Slither back in 2005," Gunn tells Deadline. "She’s since remained one of my best friends in the world, and I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to work with her again. She’s the perfect partner to Yarvo, the H Collective and myself in creating this very special project."
The cameras should be rolling in the spring. Gunn is also busy writing Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, which is headed to screens in 2020. Banks, meanwhile is developing several directorial projects of her own and has a role in The Happytime Murders.
