In addition to his consistently entertaining work as Drax in the MCU, especially the Guardians Of The Galaxy films, Dave Bautista has been carefully nurturing his career, finding interesting work and playing to his strengths, which include blending comedy with action. He's now attached to star in a film called Stuber.

Fox bought Tripper Clancy's script last year and Michael Dowse is on board to direct the film. Bautista will play a determined detective who commandeers the vehicle driven by unsuspecting Uber wheelman.

The result is a harrowing – but hopefully entertaining – evening of madness and mayhem. Clancy worked with Vacation duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein to develop the script, and they'll stat aboard as producers.

It's not the only action-comedy film Bautista is involved with; he's also shepherding an untitled movie in the genre. He's been busy working on the two new Avengers films, starting with Infinity War, which lands on 27 April.
