Seth Rogen is aiming to reunite with his 50/50 and The Night Before director Jonathan Levine for a new comedy, and he has a very different co-star in mind. Charlize Theron will be the object of his affection in Flarsky.
Not, as you might suspect from the title, a farcical take on Starsky And Hutch, the script by The Interview's Dan Sterling finds Rogen as an unemployed journalist who is fighting misfortune and his own self-destructive habits. Despite everything that is going wrong in his life, he figures the best idea is to track down and try to win the heart of his former babysitter and childhood crush (Theron), who has gone on to become one of the most powerful and unattainable women on the planet. So yes... schlubby guy pursues great beauty: it sounds like a well-worn concept, but hopefully the people involved will elevate it a little.
Rogen is still producing episodes of Preacher, which will be back for Season 2 this year. He's also in James Franco's film about The Room, The Disaster Artist. Theron has Fast & Furious 8 due on 14 April and spy thriller Atomic Blonde headed our way on 11 August.
