As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. And while that's not necessarily true of movie franchises, it usually happens that what was good fades into a poor shadow of its former self. So while we don't know for sure that this is truly the end, it appears that the How to Train Your Dragon series is looking to bow out with a trilogy-wrapping third entry, The Hidden World, with a new trailer on the web.

The movie finds Jay Baruchel's Hiccup as chief of the village on the island of Berk, now a peaceful utopia where vikings and dragons live side by side. But when his faithful Night Fury dragon pal Toothless' attention is drawn away by the enchanting new friend (a Light Fury, meaning he's not the last of his breed) and a luminescent, hitherto undiscovered land of the creatures, both of them will be tested.

And there's a new threat on the horizon – one that will force the entire village to find a way to survive.
