Aside from a more recent behind-the-scenes video, it has been months since there was any hint of footage from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. That's finally changed with the arrival of the new trailer. Take a look, even if the movie's own director, Rian Johnson, has cautioned against potential spoilers.
The Last Jedi, of course, picks up the story from The Force Awakens, and we get to catch up with Rey (Daisy Ridley) as she trains with Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker. The Resistance, meanwhile, is having to fight back against a renewed wave of First Order attacks, with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) feeling particularly vengeful.
John Boyega's Finn will be back in action, alongside some old faces and new (including Kelly Marie Tran's Rose), and there promises to be all the spectacle you might expect from a Star Wars entry.
The trailer has a lot to digest, including what looks like Rey reaching out to, of all people, Kylo for guidance, the same Ren on an attack run against a ship carrying Leia – his mother. And you know what he's like around his parents... Otherwise, there are nifty new vehicles, some high emotion from Luke and, of course, Porgs.
Released just ahead of this latest trailer was the new poster for the movie, which gives pride of place to the main characters, particularly Luke and Carrie Fisher's Leia.
The Last Jedi is out on 14 December.
