Star Wars The Last Jedi

We are now one month away from the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi (less than that in the UK, given the 14 December launch), and while the marketing has been less of the blitz and more of the drip feed variety, a batch of new TV spots has dropped, which offer a few fresh glimpses of the movie while still doing an admirable job of keeping the plot largely a secret. Check them out dotted down the page, while keeping in mind the spoiler potential for those looking to go in completely fresh.

Continuing the story begun in The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi finds the likes of Daisy Ridley's Rey, John Boyega's Finn and Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron on their own missions. Rey is training with Mark Hamill's Luke (and discovering more about why he's chosen to hide himself away), while Finn continues to help the Resistance and Poe uses his piloting skills to take the battle to the First Order.

Then there's Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), burning with fury and vengeance, and guided by the powerful Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis in full performance capture mode), who is seemingly out to destroy the Resistance once and for all.

With the likes of Gwendoline Christie, Carrie Fisher, Benicio Del Toro, Kelly Marie Tran and Laura Dern in the cast, The Last Jedi comes from writer/director Rian Johnson. It'll hit UK cinemas, as mentioned above, on 14 December.
