Just a day or so after the news that Pedro Pascal is locking down a deal to star in Star Wars spin-off series The Mandalorian (even though it has already started shooting), there'a a second piece of casting info. Gina Carano will join him in the series.
The Mandalorian, which is due to premiere on the new Disney streaming service known as Disney+, has an official synopsis out in the galaxy already, albeit one that leaves plenty of details still to come. "After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerged in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic...."
Carano, who swapped MMA bouts for acting a few years ago, will play a character that... Look, it's Disney and Star Wars, of course there isn't any proper information yet. The show should be on screens next year. Carano will next be seen in indie movies Madness In The Method and Daughter Of The Wolf.
