Woody Harrelson camps it up in this DC-set drama as a gay ‘walker’ who accompanies rich political wives to poker games, operas and - occasionally - the houses of their lovers.
That’s where it all starts to go wrong for Carter, who tries to protect Lynn (Kristin Scott Thomas) from scandal by claiming he discovered the dead body of her beau.
Both wives and police start pointing the finger, but the accusations never feel threatening enough to produce a sense of urgency. This toys with character portrait, murder mystery and conspiracy thriller, but never settles on a direction. Still, the peek into the privileged wives’ scene commands a certain fascination.
