Original Title:

Virtuosity

A yawn-inducingly familiar spin on the virtual reality scene: rent-a-slasher psycho VR (Russell Crowe) is pursued by a vengeful cop (Denzel Washington), with his own set of psychological disorders. The twist is a computer amalgam of top-notch serial killer personalities (Charles Manson, Adolf Hitler et al) materialised as an android who can replenish broken body parts by combining with glass. It works as loud DTV fodder with some okay computer effects, but it all seems so out of date

Quality premise, poor execution.
