Spoilt little rich girls who hit hard times dont ya just love em? No? Well, slap a restriction order on yourself and dont come within ten paces of this hideous concoction.
When It girl Molly (Murphy) discovers that her accountant has run off with her inheritance, she is reduced to nannying uptight eight year-old Ray (Fanning). Ah, but such despair is really the route to becoming a much nicer and less superficial person.
The usually dependable Murphy turns in an awkward and charmless performance, helped in no way by director Yakins inability to pull us willingly into this world or make us believe theres any chemistry between Molly and her rock star wannabe boyfriend (Spencer).
As the hyper-intelligent, bossy brat, Fanning seems to confuse the word precocious with obnoxious. Youll find more substance in the Billy Joel music promo that (almost) shares the same name.
