This glib but determinedly unromantic relationships comedy is far and away the wittiest of last years twenty and thritysomething love tangles. It divides its plot revolving around Frank and Sarah and Joseph (Craig Sheffer, Meg Tilly and Eric Stoltz as two best friends and one wife) over a years worth of social gatherings that range from realistically irksome to disastrous. Sparky performances from the leads, a happening ensemble of up-and-comers as their pals, and a hysterical cameo from Quentin Tarantino as a movie bore.
