Katie (Katie Featherston), possessed back in PA1 (spoiler!), moves across the street from this year’s haunted teenager (Kathryn Newton) and leaves creepy kid Robbie (Brady Allen) with the heroine’s family while she’s in hospital. Cameras are set up and weird stuff happens, again. Like PA3, this comes from the Catfish team of Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, and takes a less serious approach to the shudders and shocks than Oren Peli’s quietly devastating original. Newton is a bright spark, Allen gives good creepy kid, there’s one neat plot trick and the ‘boo!’ moments still work.
Paranormal Activity 4 Review
It's five years after Paranormal Activity 2 and the family of 15 year-old Alice (Kathryn Newton) have moved into the area. With her dim-bulb boyfriend in tow, the camera-keen Alice records a series of increasingly spooky occurrences as the kid from across the street, Robbie (Brady Allen), comes to stay.
