Valiant turns by Nathalie Baye and Ludivine Sagnier aren't enough to save this jumbled adaptation of a bestselling graphic novel about a tweenage girl's offbeat existence. The art direction is kitschily bold, but the stylised set-pieces are an acquired taste.
