Original Title:

Long Time Dead

Set among semi-dropout students who divide their time between squalid digs in an ancient house and the local rave, this take on the yoof-themed British horror film offers modern stereotypes as ridiculous as the swinging teens of Dracula AD 1972 and a plot copped from the DTV Witchboard series.

A seance, unwisely conducted in a basement, unleashes a djinn which possesses one of the gang, who murders the rest in fairly unspectacular ways after they''ve crept around dark rooms for a while, mouthing the usual, predictable lines.

Alec Newman, of the Dune remake, has the Jamie Lee Curtis role, while talents like Tom Bell, Lukas Haas and Lara Belmont (The War Zone) are just as bad as the soap refugee deadmeat.

In ten years time, thirtysomethings may get nostalgic about this, but for the time being, avoid.
