Original Title:

Langoliers, The

Hard on the heels of The Stand and Tommyknockers comes this three hour adaptation of a Stephen King story which, even in it’s original form, was nine parts padding to one part good idea. Dean Stockwell, Bronson Pinchot and Thirtysomething’s Patricia Wettig head up an Airport-style cast of characters who find themselves stranded at a decidedly deserted airport. Is it the post-apocalypse? Is it another dimension? Or is it a half-decent episode of The Twilight Zone stretched into a miniseries? Whatever the case, expect cries of “For God's sake get on(ital) with it!” to reverberate around your living room.

Honourable, but longwinded.
