Knife That Killed Me, The

Dramatically, this adaption of Anthony McGowan’s novel about school gangs offers few surprises. But the use of greenscreen backdrops to convey the blur of memories flashing through a dying teenager’s mind is inspired, if at times imperfect.

There's nothing too groundbreaking in the dramatisation of school cliques and the growing pains of teenagers, but the execution is alive with visual invention.
