Original Title:

A Killing In A Small Town

The brutal axe murder of a Texas housewife brings the skeletons out of the closet for married woman Barbara Hershey — she was having an affair with the dead woman’s husband and she just might have committed the crime.

Originally aired as a miniseries in the states A Killing in a Small Town is a downbeat true story with Hershey sporting a severe haircut and glasses to hide her good looks as the somewhat repressed woman with something to hide. The story itself does little to reward her tidy performance.

This is less a thriller than a test of audience sympathy.
