Q: What do you do if you're a famous male basketball pro and you're disqualified for bad behaviour?
A: Easy - you dress as a girl and join the women's league.
So it's a laboured comic set-up, but it does offer the chance for a whole lot of boob gags, the sight of hero Jamal (Nunez Jr.) having his legs waxed and oh, hell, why not a few more boob gags while we're at it? And that's about the level of this resistible comedy.
The only surprises here are the missed tricks: there's no male-female transformation scene, and the revelatory scene is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it job. Supporting performances from Fox and Pollak are strong, but Nunez Jr. isn't nearly sympathetic enough to involve us in Jamal's plight - and he's given very little help from the unexceptional script. A few lewd laughs are all this attempt at a comedy of mistaken identity has to offer.
