One of the best Amicus anthology movies, this is an enjoyable affair full of affectionate horror homage.

Based on the stories of Psycho author Robert Bloch, the film contains four tales of terror linked together by the titular house (which never drips blood, incidentally). Impeccable ham comes in the form of horror icons Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Ingrid Pitt.
