Theres something irresistible about Walter Matthau delivering lines like, You couldnt catch crabs from a ten dollar hooker. When said line is delivered to Jack Lemmon, its even better. The first Grumpathon managed to take this perfect comedy team and misplace the chemistry; the rematch finds the two on fine form however, trading barbs while wooing Ann Margret and the recently brought on-board Sophia Loren. The end titles once again feature the outtakes, most notably Burgess Meredith ad-libbing obscene references to phallic vegetables. No Odd Couple, but Lemmon and Matthau are on fine form.
